Wedding Florals – Montrose House Estate, Southern Highlands – Tash & Jono

For Tash & Jono’s special day, we were so excited to be heading to the Southern Highlands to create something beautiful at one of our favourite homesteads, Montrose House Estate. If you don’t know it… this elegant country escape is nestled in the rolling hills and lush landscape of The Sutton Forest, and on this crisp Autumn day back in May – the grounds were covered with copper, gold and rusted coloured leaves.. it was the perfect setting for an autumn wedding.

Inspired by the season and the beautiful surroundings, we created a stunning ceremony using soft neutral florals and rich earthy tones, including popular toffee roses, and textured branching and native foliages. The beautiful ornate doors permanently fixed within the grounds of Montrose House, used as a ceremony feature, provided a beautiful canvas for us to work with.

The reception was held in the main hall, which is packed full of character and charm. We created a floral arbour as a focal point, situated behind the bride and groom on the bridal table, framing the perfect photo backdrop. We used seasonal native foliages and filler flowers sourced by our treasured local growers, along with beautiful imported premium roses. The table florals and styling were simple and modern – with tall individual stems of premium roses placed in single bud vases and black framed pillar candles, giving the space a clean and contemporary look.

Tash‘s bridal look captured the very essence of a modern beauty – and her bridal bouquet couldn’t have been more fitting. We added smaller, more delicate florals and foliage into the bridal flowers, along with some dried elements and a beautiful trailing phalaenopsis orchid, to really showcase the bride’s bouquet. The blush coloured (quicksand) roses were the perfect colour for the bridesmaids gowns, which tied in beautifully with the overall look – combining soft neutral shades with dark earthy autumn tones.



As far as seasonal weddings go – Tash & Jono’s wedding in the beautiful Sutton Forest was definitely one to remember.
